Jamyang Autumn Walk
Saturday Oct 20th

What better way to welcome Autumn than to be among trees, and one of London's gems is the magnificent Epping Forest.
This easy, undulating walk starts at Chingford Plain and soon comes to the  landmark of Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge that was part of the extensive Tudor wooded estate. From here we drop down through meadows, cross the Cuckoo Brook and enter the lovely canopy of trees along the Willow Trail.
There will be a stopping place for a snack or a pack lunch with open vistas before diving in to the forest once more down Loughton Brook valley reaching the expanse of Connaught Water with water fowl and then following the gentle return back to the station.

Meet at Liverpool Street Main Line station at the platform entrance for Chingford at 10.45 am. Our train leaves at 11.03 am. The journey is within zones 1-6
