The Courtyard Garden Cafe
Come and enjoy delicious espresso coffee, Clipper teas and lovingly prepared homemade vegetarian food in our garden Cafe. Eat inside or take your food and drink and sit in the old prisoner’s courtyard, which has been transformed into a gorgeous, plant filled green haven right in the middle of the city. Sip your coffee gazing at the awesome Pairnirvana Buddha statue which is surrounded by colourful flowers.
The Courthouse Garden Cafe is open to the public Monday – Friday from 10 am – 4 pm.
But it is also open until 7.30 pm Jamyang students and friends on teaching/ event nights during the week, and open on the weekends when we have retreats or workshops.
Our Cafe has two permanent staff – our chef Ali, and front of house person Lobsang, ably assisted by two volunteers.
We serve Monmouth coffee and mainly use organic produce. We can cater for special dietary requirements such as wheat-free or vegan, if informed ahead of time.
We also cater for groups renting our facilities – or you can book the Cafe for your private gathering, but no alcohol please.
