Healing Room

Healing Room at Jamyang

As a result of the success and good feedback we received from the recent Peace in the City days, which brought complementary therapists and the community together, Jamyang decided to create a Healing Room.

The Healing Room becomes part of Jamyang’s wish to practically benefit others, to put compassion and care into action.

We all relate to difficulty and deal with stress differently; complementary therapies have the potential to facilitate well being and the healing of body, mind and spirit. The Healing Room is based in Jamyang’s positive and peaceful environment, conducive for relaxation and holistic healing.

Core Process Psychotherapy Di
with Diana Carroll

Core Process Psychotherapy is a holistic psychotherapy that works with the totality of our experience and being. In Core Process work therapist and client are engaged in a depth healing process, with a deep awareness of our body, feelings, energies and states of mind.

How do we work?
Core Process Psychotherapy is drawn from Buddhist and Western influences.
The ‘Core’ is held to be our innate potential for health and wholeness, which gets obscured by patterns of defences that we develop to protect ourselves from the difficulties we encounter.
Core Process Psychotherapy offers us an opportunity to explore at depth these processes, and the aliveness and well being that is obscured. In a society experiencing increasing fragmentation and alienation we can reconnect with ‘source’, ‘self’ and ‘being’. Being aware and present with our immediate experience can penetrate and transform underlying patterns of fear, depression and suffering, and enable us to access and heal deeply embodied patterns of trauma and wounding.
The work may involve challenge as well as receptivity, in a holding environment with the intention of compassion, coherency, strength, warmth and spaciousness. There is often energy bound up in our protective and destructive strategies; as we integrate the work we can be interested in the new forms that emerge, and in joy, aliveness and what has felt-meaning for us.

What form does it take?
Therapy is conducted in a relationship of respect, interconnection, joint enquiry, and a willingness to welcome all parts of you.
The work is confidential. I work under supervision but no one will be aware of your identity.
Core Process is a depth form of psychotherapy, which involves meeting weekly, ideally at the same time each week. It may continue for years, but shorter periods of therapy can also be helpful.
Cost is on a sliding scale related to your means.
I practise in Kennington, South London, and Homerton, North-east London.

How do we start?
I offer a free initial consultation where you can tell me what’s happening and ask any questions.
You can call me for more information or to book a free initial meeting:

Cranio Sacral and Healing
with Frederick Maitland DC RCST

I integrate CranioSacral with understanding from both my Doctorate in Chiropractic, and my ongoing training in indigenous healing arts, particularly those of Native America and Tibetan Buddhism.

My work is subtle yet powerful, with a combination of gentle hands-on and dialogue.  It can help both your body’s ability to heal and your mind to relax.  I see many people with a wide range of symptoms, and also for those looking to unwind from the stresses of city life. I have an honesty scale for treatment costs (£25 and up).  Treatments can vary from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours

I look forward to meeting you soon, either at Jamyang or one of my other peaceful London locations.
Please call me directly to book on 0787 551 8069, or email me at vcsw@mac.com.

Acupressure Reflexology
with Tracy Chau

Tracy

Most of us understand how beneficial acupuncture can be. But what happens when some of us don’t enjoy tiny needles inserted into our body? Acupressure reflexology as a non-invasive technique that uses the same points as in acupuncture provides the answer.

According to Chinese Medicine, while working on a particular section of the foot, the corresponding organ is nourished with fresh chi (energy). By stimulating or sedating the acupressure points located in the feet, stagnating or old chi retained in the body is released; balance and health are restored, energy level improved, relaxation and rejuvenation enjoyed.

Acupressure reflexology boosts the immune system and is an effective treatment for both men and women who suffer from the following:

-Digestive disorders including IBS & weak digestive systemReflexology

-Gynaecological problems including menstrual, fertility issues & pregnancy complaints

-Respiratory  ailments including sinusitis & hay feve

-Others including stress & tension, high blood pressure, insomnia etc.

-Reflexology enhances health on all levels

Tracy trained with the Oxford School of Reflexology. The OSR follows the highest standards and curriculum of The International School of Reflexology & Meridian Therapy founded by world renowned reflexologist Inge Dougans.

She has also trained in Maternity Reflexology with eminent practitioner/midwife Susanne Enzer. She has also worked in the Whole food and Macrobiotics sectors, and enjoys working with her clients on all levels to enable them to achieve a good level of health. Tracy also includes Reiki in her work where necessary.
Treatments costs £35 per hour and concessions can also be applied.
