Enlightenment Day celebrates the Birth, Enlightenment and Passing Beyond of the Buddha Shakyamuni.
Join with Geshe Tashi in the early morning to take the 8 Mahayana precepts for the day [bring in the usual text about the 8] and to do Shakyamuni Buddha Puja.
Please note that there is no full day or morning of practice or precept lunch this day, just the precepts and puja in the early morning.
The courthouse garden cafe offers quality coffee and
vegetarian, organic and delicious foods.
Volunteers are the bedrock of Jamyang. Without their continuous support, we would not be able to bring the activities and services we provide to the community. Would you like to contribute?
For the study of religions, we offer facilities for schools to come and visit the centre and get a overview of the Mahayana Tradition.
The Centre offers prayers and Pujas to the different communities. These take place is the main gompa, and the small gompa.
